On 15th October 2015, AIUB Community of Engineering Students (ACES) organized a workshop titled “Basics of AutoCAD for Electrical and Electronic Engineers” being presented by Mr. Rethwan Faiz (Lecturer, Department of EEE, AIUB) at EL-51, Building-2, American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB). AutoCAD software is being used on large scale basis by a number of engineering professionals and firms for various applications.
Dr. Md. Abdul Mannan (Head, Undergraduate program, Department of EEE, AIUB) delivered the starting speech in which he spotlighted the salient features of AutoCAD software in the study era as well as in the forthcoming future of an engineering student. Mr. Rethwan Faiz started with the basics of AutoCAD and gradually covered few vital aspects of the tool. He showed several circuit designs and stressed on the simplicity of the tool for designing complex circuitry. Dr. Md. Abdur Rahman (Director, Faculty of Engineering, AIUB) emphasized the importance of AutoCAD for all engineering disciplines like electrical, electronic, mechanical, civil, architecture and others. At the end, he handed over a token of appreciation to the speaker for such a successful workshop. After that, Mr. Rethwan Faiz provided the certificates to participants. Ms. Shahreen Hassan (Lecturer, Department of EEE, AIUB, & Motivator, ACES) graced the seminar with her presence. The effective workshop came to an end with a vote of thanks to the speaker and AIUB Community of Engineering Students (ACES).
