On Monday, February 24, 2025, the American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) hosted its Freshers’ Orientation for the Spring 2024-2025 semester at its permanent campus. The orientation session welcomed newly admitted undergraduate and graduate students from various faculties, marking the beginning of their academic journey at AIUB.
Ms. Nadia Anwar, Founder Member and Chairman of the AIUB Board of Trustees, attended the event as the chief guest. She warmly congratulated the incoming students and delivered an inspiring speech, offering guidance on academic success and career development.
The event was also graced by the presence of Dr. Hasanul A. Hasan, Founder Member of the AIUB Board of Trustees; Dr. Carmen Z. Lamagna, Member of the AIUB Board of Trustees; Prof. Dr. Saiful Islam, Vice-Chancellor of AIUB; Prof. Dr. Md. Abdur Rahman, Pro-Vice Chancellor of AIUB; Prof. Dr. Siddique Hossain, Dean, Faculty of Engineering; Prof. Dr. Tazul Islam, Dean, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences; Sr. Associate Prof. Mr. Mashiour Rahman, Dean, Faculty of Science and Technology; and Dr. Rezbin Nahar, Director, BBA Program. Each speaker addressed the students, sharing valuable insights and words of encouragement for their university life.
Earlier, Prof. Dr. Manzur H Khan, Proctor of AIUB, made an informative presentation about AIUB and its various policies, providing essential guidance to help freshmen students navigate their academic journey.
Ms. Shania Mahia Abedin, Member of the AIUB Board of Trustees, along with the Registrar, Proctor, faculty members, directors, and senior officials, were also present at the event.
The orientation concluded on a high note with a captivating concert by renowned singer and AIUB alumnus Minar Rahman, making the occasion both informative and memorable for the new students. Various student clubs of AIUB put up their booths to inform freshmen students about their activities and events.
