One of the thrusts of AIUB is to promote and assure the welfare and development of the youth considered as the hope of the motherland, Bangladesh. This year, once again, AIUB extended its support to the Notre Dame College one of the prestigious and well known educational institutions in Bangladesh in the celebration of the annual Science Club Festival. This festival started in 1955 and considered one of the oldest events in the country next to Debate Competition. This year’s event is participated in by about 65 colleges and schools in metro Dhaka with about 1600 students. The festival highlights a Science Fair where talented students enthusiastically exhibited their innovative Science projects and a competition in different events like debate, rubik’s cube, general knowledge, Olympiad in different subjects, digital poster and others. Prof. Dr. Charles C. Villanueva, Pro Vice Chancellor and Dean, Faculty of Business Administration was the Chief Guest during the inaugural ceremony. He underscored the importance of the youth in today’s development and progress of the nation. It is at this point that he emphasized what AIUB is doing for the students to make them realize this vision. On the third day, the organizers of the event afforded an opportunity for AIUB Team to meet the students in the auditorium to orient them on the various programs and activities being undertaken by AIUB to ensure students’ career success in the future. In this regard, a career orientation was conducted by Ms. Farheen Hasan, Associate Professor and Director, BBA Program, Mr. Stanley Rodrick, Asst. Professor, Marketing and Mr. Mehedi Kayser Pabitra, Assistant Professor, English Department on the various Faculty, academic programs, majors and co-curricular activities both in power pt. and video presentations. They were introduced by Dr. Charles before the start of the presentation. He also express AIUB’s profound thanks and appreciation to the Management headed by Dr. Fr. Hemanto Rozario, Principal for the partnership. It was indeed a fruitful intervention with the hope that Notre Dame students will value and appreciate the orientation for their future university degree at AIUB.
