BOOK ENTITLED: ‘Understanding Human Resource Management: Cases from Bangladesh’ LAUNCHED IN AIUB

The Department of Management and HRM has organized a Launching Program of the book entitled ‘Understanding Human Resource Management: Cases from Bangladesh’ on 27^th November 2017 at the Banani Campus Auditorium. The authors of the book are Dr.Abu Mohammad Yusuf, a part time faculty and Customs Specialist USAID-BTFA Program, Mr.Abdul Kader Nazmul, Associate Professor, Ms.Anisa Sultana, Senior Assistant Professor of AIUB and Ms. Lamia Farha, Management Counselor, Bangladesh Institute of Management. The target group and the beneficiaries’ of this book are the students of Management and HRM and the HR Professionals/Practitioners.

The program started with the welcome and inspirational speech by the Pro Vice Chancellor and the Dean of FBA Prof. Dr.Charles C.Villanueva. He congratulated the authors for the initiative and advised to continue the journey of nurturing the creative minds. Among the  distinguished audience, an Academician Professor Dr.Mahbub Ahsan Khan, Institution of Education and Research (IER) Additional Director, Institutional Quality Assurance Cell, University of Dhaka and Mr. M. A.Mannan CEO& Lead Consultant,SEARCHLITE MLC  from Corporate sector were the guests of honor and expressed their impressions on the book .According to them students of Management and HRM  and HR Professionals will be highly benefitted from this book as for the first time a book is written on HRM that includes cases from Bangladesh .They requested to make the book available in the libraries and book market and also online with an affordable price. They also wished to get more books so that students and professionals get benefitted. Along with the Guests of honor, The MBA Program Director Dr.Nisar Ahmed, BBA Program Director Ms. Farheen Hassan, Department Heads, Program Coordinators, students, representatives from the administration and Authors’ family members were present.

Before the Launching Program the book was uncovered by the Vice Chancellor Dr. Carmen Zita Lamagna, Dr.Hasanul A, Hasan, Founder, Treasurer and Vice President, Administration and Human Resource, Ms.Nadia Anwar, Founder and Vice President Student affairs. They congratulated the authors for the initiative and advised to continue the journey of creative works.
