Gender and Family Law

The gender and family law deals with the legal aspect of issues such as the marriage, dower, divorce, domestics violence, child custody. It examines how the gender identity of the women interacts with different aspect of the life of a woman. It analyses the existence of the gender discrimination in the society and how it can be resolved using the legal means. Moreover, it adopts a holistic approach that combines the comparative law analysis and its intersection with international law instruments including the International Convention on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR) and the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW).

It deals with also negative impact of society on women. It analyses the existence of the gender discrimination and how it can be resolved using the legal means.
