MIS is a department within an enterprise responsible for controlling the hardware and software systems that the organization uses to make business-critical decisions. MIS is also a computer system consisting of hardware and software that serves as the backbone of an organization’s operations. An MIS gathers data from multiple online systems, analyzes the information, and reports data to aid in management decision-making. There are different domains within MIS, and these domains are used to analyze different aspects of the system.
