Marketing Students’ Organization Visit to IFAD Industrial Park
The Department of Marketing, FBA, AIUB organized a Visit to IFAD Industrial Park (IFAD Multi Products Limited - IMPL), Ashulia, Savar on April 12, 2014. Students from the Marketing Major courses of ‘Sales Management’ and ‘Brand & Product Management’ were taken to visit the Organization.
Upon the arrival at the Factory premises, Mr. Md. Zakir Hossain Mondal, Manager Quality Control, welcomed the Students and the Faculty Members. The students were divided into four groups and each group was taken to visit the separate Production Plants. Factory Supervisors including Mr. C. K. Sharma, Production Manager (Biscuit) were present to guide and brief the students about the respective manufacturing process such as the
Flour Plant, Biscuit Plant, Noodles Plant, Drinking Water Plant and Snacks & Bakery Plant.
After the completion of the Factory Visit, the Students and the Faculty Members were offered refreshment with food products produced by IMPL such as Biscuits, Cakes, Chips, etc. At the end, Lt. Col. (Retd) Zafar Ahmed Mansur, General Manager (Factory), IMPL, appreciated the Students and the Faculty Members for visiting the organization. He provided some valuable insights about the Quality Control operations and Standards followed in the different Production Plants. The Faculty Members then offered their Vote of Thanks to the distinguished Officials of and presented them with Gift Boxes respectively on behalf of AIUB.
Mr. Hamidul Islam, Assistant Professor, and Mr. Stanley Rodrick, Assistant Professor, from the Department of Marketing took the lead initiatives and organized the visit in coordination with Mr. Zobair Shibli, Head, Department of Marketing and Mr. Mahmud Habib Zaman, Assistant Professor of the same Department. It was also assisted and facilitated by Mr. AKM Kamrul Haque, Assistant Professor, Mr. Redwan Salam, Lecturer, Ms. Shahnaz Zarin Haque, Lecturer, from the Department of Marketing, Mr. Md. Golam Mostofa, Assistant Professor, from the Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management, and Mr. Md. Al-Mamun, Executive, Administration of AIUB.
