Seminar on Project & Thesis 'Inception and Impact'

Thursday 5 March 2015 AIUB Community of Engineering Students (ACES) organized a seminar on ‘Project & Thesis: Inception and Impact’ at Room 266, Building-2, AIUB.  Ms. Tahmina Zebin(PhD Researcher, School of EEE, University of Manchester, UK and Ex-Faculty, Department of EEE, AIUB) and three alumni from EEE department, Mr. Shadman Eshraq Siddiqui (Lecturer, EEE Dept., GUB and Executive Expert, Training Facility, ERROR Lab), Ms. Nayla Ferdsous and  Ms. Nafisa Tabassum Nainee  were the guest speakers in the seminar. The seminar was duly started by Dr. M.A. Mannan (Head, Undergraduate Program & Associate Professor, Dept. of EEE).In his inspiring speech, He emphasized on how much project & thesis is important for a student. After that Mr. Shadman Eshraq Siddiqui focused on how to work on project, thesis and features of it, important topics that needs to be remembered during the timeline, possible problems to be faced, and their solutions. He also shared his experience of his own project and advised not to take on project/thesis on the eleventh hour.Next up being from the same group, Ms. Nayla Ferdsous and Ms. Nafisa Tabassum Nainee gave their speech together. They represented their work, the problems they faced and how they solved those to achieve their goal. Then Ms. Tahmina Zebin gave her speech on ENDNOTE X7, which is professional reference management software. She showed how this software works and how it helps an individual during his/her project/thesis. She also focused on an inertial sensor network for bio-mechanical motion analysis. Moreover she added features of inertial sensor in human body. To concude the program Mr. Rinku Basak (Head, Graduate Program & Assistant Professor, Dept. of EEE) was asked to give a speech. He emphasized on the importance of project/thesis, and motivated the students to work hard to obtain satifactory results. He finally thanked everyone for joining the  seminar and also advised to attend such programs in future. Mamunur Rashid(Lecturer, Department of EEE), Mr.Hafiz Rakibul (Lecturer, Department of EEE), Mr. Rashedul Hoque (Lecturer, Department of EEE), Mr.Subrata Biswas (Lecturer, Department of EEE, )Mr. Raja Rashidul Hasan(Lecturer, Department of EEE), Mr. Sayed Muhammad Baker(Lecturer, Department of EEE), Mr. Tawsif Ibne Alam(Lecturer, Department of EEE), Mr. Md. Rifat Hazari (Teaching Assistant, Dept. of EEE) & Mr. Debajit Saha (Teaching Assistant, Dept. of EEE)  graced the seminar with their presence.
