A day-long workshop was held on “Computer-Assisted Language Learning (CALL) & Using It to Teach Culture” on 1 October 2015 in the Department of English, AIUB at the seminar room of Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences Building. The workshop was conducted by Ms. Claire Bradin Siskin, an English Language Specialist provided by American Center, Bangladesh. The event was divided into two sessions: in the morning session Ms. Claire gave an overview on CALL and the afternoon session was about how to use CALL to teach culture. Ten teachers of the department of English participated in the workshop and expressed their opinion that adapting to the emerging modern technologies the workshop has practically widened their knowledge of language teaching. At the end of the workshop the Dean of Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences Prof. Dr. Tazul Islam offered a token gift to the resource person of the workshop.
